Boys football
We had a great week last week for our boys footballers. Firstly on Tuesday our U14’s put in their best performance of the season beating Pingle 5-0 in the 1/4 final of the district cup. Man of the match was O Irving with a great display in midfield. Goals came from Filip x 2, Freddie and Archie x 2. Most pleasing aspect was our first clean sheet and our determination to keep them scoreless. Our U18’s then pulled off an amazing win , 3-2 against Painsley in the county cup.

Boys Rugby
Last week was the first game of the season for our U15 boys and first win – 7 points to 5 over Painsley. We were very rusty and have lots to work on in the backs. We dominated possession and won almost every scrum with the experience of Toby and Ben. Up front our powerful ball carriers Adam and Jack made post contact meters every time they ran. Our try came on one of the rare occasions we got the ball wide with Sam showing excellent strength to finish in the corner. Corey then kicked the decisive conversion from out wide. Jonty tackled fantastically as usual and Ben had a solid debut at full back. Our challenge going forward is how we can unleash our exciting outside backs.
