29/02/2024 Roundup – Safeguarding update

Bullying has long been a pervasive issue in schools – and, being realistic, it’s regrettably a problem which is always likely to exist to a certain extent. There are still plenty of steps we can take as trusted adults, however, to lend support, comfort and reassurance to children who are going through this deeply upsetting experience.

Such a highly emotive topic can be a difficult one to talk about with children – but honest, open communication nevertheless remains vital to young victims’ wellbeing. It’s important to be aware, then, of effective ways to broach and explore the subject. Our guide has expert advice on effective ways to support children who are being bullied.

29/02/2024 Roundup – Canteen Service Improvements

Important Update: Canteen Service Improvements and Account Management

We appreciate your continued support and involvement in your child’s education at our school.

As part of our ongoing efforts to improve the canteen provision, we are focusing on streamlining the process of account management. This will contribute to a more efficient service.

To achieve this, we kindly request your cooperation in regularly checking and topping up your child’s canteen account.

We specifically recommend checking the account balances over the weekends and also on Wednesdays. These two points in the week align with our efforts to optimise our canteen operations and provide the best service possible to our students.

Your assistance in this matter is crucial to maintaining a hassle-free canteen experience for both you and your child. By taking a few moments to review and manage the account balance, you contribute significantly to the overall efficiency of the canteen service.

If you encounter any issues or have concerns regarding the canteen service or account management, please contact the school.

28/02/2024 Roundup – Non Uniform Day

Non Uniform Day Friday 8th March

On Friday 8th March we plan to hold a non-uniform day to help raise money for school funds. These funds are used to support extra curricular events and counselling for students. If everyone can make a donation of £2.00 this would be gratefully received. If any families are able to donate a greater amount this would be appreciated.

Payment can be made through Parentpay or students can bring £2 cash with them on the day.
