Today the production team of Mrs Todd, Mrs Mood and Mrs Fletcher along with Rob F the musical director, Alfie B who plays Danny and Lucy L who plays Sandy, were interviewed live on BBC Radio Stoke by Susan Hanks. We talked about the upcoming production of Grease. You can listen back to the show on the BBC Sounds app for Stoke afternoon show from today.

Signing in and out
Students need to be on site from 8.40-3.05pm and if they leave site briefly for food etc they MUST sign out and back in. This is both a legal and safeguarding requirement. No one should leave site to go to the gym or similar during the school day.
Year 12 students GCSE certificates
Year 12 students can collect their GCSE certificates from the Sixth Form office. Please collect them at break and lunch time only.

Data Collection
Many thanks to parents who have already returned data collection sheets. If you have not already done so, please check/update, sign the data collection sheet for your child and return it to the school office as soon as possible. You can email/scan the sheet back to office@tahs.org.uk, or post it back to us at the usual school address. This information helps us to safeguard your child and enables us to contact you in an emergency.
Non-Uniform Day
On Friday 11th February we plan to hold a non-uniform day to help raise money for school funds. These funds are used to support extra curricular events and counselling for students. If students can make a donation of £2.00 this would be gratefully received. If any families are able to donate a greater amount this would be appreciated as we are hoping to relaunch our school walk through Derbyshire this year.

English Literature Texts back in stock!
We now have copies of An Inspector Calls (Year 10/11) available for students to purchase. This is the hardbacked edition which teachers will use.
There are also limited numbers of Romeo and Juliet complete texts; the highly popular “Snap” revision guides for Romeo and Juliet; An Inspector Calls; English Language (Reading and Writing double pack!) and the Collins Power & Conflict poetry revision guide.
Students should bring their ParentPay receipt to Mrs Hunt in room 21 to collect their purchases.

Visit to Twycross Zoo
Last week 50 Y11 students spent the day studying animal behaviour at Twycross zoo. They completed ethograms on the activities of chimpanzees and leopards as part of their Animal Care course work. All students worked really hard and still had time to enjoy themselves walking around the other enclosures as well.
PE News
BTEC Tech Award Sport, Activity & Fitness
Year 11 are taking their external exam on Tuesday 8th Feb. Revision materials are available for all on Active Learn. After the exam all students will be completing 3 assignments on Coaching and Leadership in sport – these are available now on Teams.
BTEC Sport
Both Yr 12 and Yr 13 have assignments due to be completed by half term and should be using non-contact periods and homework to complete.
Regional Netball
Last Sunday our U16 and U19 netball team represented North Staffordshire at the Regional competition held in Wednesbury. The tournament was made up of schools who had finished County Champions or runners up and it was a joy to watch players from our school competing in the high standard that was set for the fixtures.
The Under 16 team won a third of their games with victories over Lucton and Wolverhampton Girls School.
Squad – Jess, Poppy, Lexie, Martha, Sophie, Bella, Aimee & Louie
The games played by our U19 squad were all very close and competitive in score. The girls stuck together and a deserved victory came against Hereford Sixth Form.

Many thanks to Ruth, Karen, Bev and Laura who were team managers, scorers and first aiders on the day. Also to all of the family members who came to support both teams. It was a really great day and we all really appreciated you being there.

Netball club next Tuesday for Year 9 and 10’s, let’s get a high attendance so we are well prepared for forthcoming fixtures
